Putting up with can be a tiring experience.

The majority of us strive to foster amicable relations with our neighbours. Even if you don't become best friends, extending basic respect to those who live nearby is a fundamental expectation of community living.

But some individuals seem oblivious to common courtesy, prioritising their own convenience over the well-being of others.

One woman is currently grappling with this very issue, as her inconsiderate neighbours appear indifferent to the disruption they cause, which prevents her from enjoying her own . She lives in a cul-de-sac where the reduced traffic compared to a typical street means the children next door often play outside.

But these youngsters aren't content with their own garden or the public pavement areas. The woman reports they frequently invade her garden to play without asking, at times coming perilously close to damaging her family's with their footballs.

Their "obnoxious" antics have robbed her of any peace in her outdoor space, and despite addressing the matter with their parents, the situation remains unresolved.

In a heated Reddit post, the resident vented: "I live at the end of a dead-end street - practically a cul-de-sac - which, unfortunately, has turned parts of my property and the street in front of me into a makeshift playground for the neighbourhood kids.

"These aren't adorable toddlers; they're middle schoolers with foul mouths and zero regard for boundaries, especially when it comes to my home."

She was incensed by their actions, explaining: "They draw all over my driveway. I get that chalk is temporary, but I don't want to see ugly dragons and misshapen cats greeting me every time I pull in. It's hideous.

"They play football dangerously close to parked cars. I've seen the ball bounce off a neighbour's vehicle, and while mine hasn't been hit yet, I feel like it's only a matter of time.

"They leave trash and sports equipment scattered across my lawn - I've even spoken to their parents, but nothing's changed."

Looking for solutions, the woman sought advice from fellow Reddit users, mentioning she'd prefer an anonymous approach as she didn't want to "escalate things directly" but was determined to "protect her property and sanity."

Community members quickly chimed in with their perspectives, although many highlighted that anonymity in this situation might be difficult to achieve. They also cautioned her about potential liability issues if any of the trespassing children were to be injured on her property despite her lack of consent for their presence.

One individual advised: "You're way beyond the point of [doing things] anonymously. Put up cameras and call the cops. It's no one's problem until one of those kids gets hurt on your property, then you're going to wish you had made it a fine line in the sand."

Another person suggested a more assertive approach: "Cameras, no trespassing and video surveillance signs. Report, press charges, restraining order. The liability is on you in case of any injury or worse."

A third commenter pointed out the need for direct communication: "They are going to continue their behaviour if you do not go out and tell them it is unwanted. How would they know some person made a passive-aggressive comment and wants them to stop?

"It was your fault for allowing it in the first place. They are kids. Tell them."
