New form of Rajgarh station

Rajasthan News: Redevelopment work is going on under the Amrit Station Scheme to increase passenger facilities at stations by the Railways and to make the buildings a new look. 77 stations, including Rajgarh station in Jaipur division of North Western Railway, are being redeveloped at a cost of about Rs 4000 crore.

Giving information about the progress of work to media representatives of Jaipur, Dausa and Alwar region at Rajgarh station, Shashi Kiran, Chief Public Relations Officer, North Western Railway said that the redevelopment work of Rajgarh station under this scheme is in the final stages at a cost of Rs 13.10 crore. He said that there was a shortage of space in the old station building, making it difficult to develop passenger facilities. Now, the station building has been renewed under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme, which has improved passenger facilities.

The well -planned development, arrival and departure of the circulating area at Rajgarh station and parking space have been improved. These tasks will make it easier for the movement of passengers and will be possible to make the vehicles in the right way. Shelters have been provided for passengers waiting on the platform, which will facilitate heat and rain. Modern toilets are also being constructed. A 12 meter wide foot over bridge has been built for smooth movement from one platform to another, which has a traffic block of only 4 hours 25 minutes to make.

Changed picture of Rajgarh station under Amrit station scheme

Shashi Kiran said that redevelopment work at Rajgarh railway station is going on fast and it is in the final stage. After the completion of the work, this station will be a symbol of modernity and efficiency, which will set new standards in the infrastructure and passenger facilities of the railway. The facilities developed at Rajgarh station include construction, entry and exit gates, porches, circulating areas, well -organized parking, entry hall, waiting hall, new platform shelters, facilities for disabled, new toilet blocks, water booths, coach booths, coaches and platforms on platforms.

It is worth noting that in Jaipur division of North Western Railway, 18 stations including Rajgarh are being redeveloped with Rs 1325 crore. These include Jaipur, Gandhinagar Jaipur, Sanganer, Rewari, Phulera, Alwar, Bandikui, Sikar, Dausa, Ringas, Rajgarh, Asalpur Jobner, Khairthal, Neem Ka Thana, Narnaul, Fatehpur Shekhawati, Jhunjhunu and Narena stations.

The redevelopment of these stations is incorporating modernity keeping in mind the local art. Separate provisions are being made for arrival and departure to facilitate the movement of passengers. To increase the facilities of the passengers, lift, escalator, executive lounge, waiting room, shopping complex, cafeteria and adequate parking will be arranged. Amrit station redevelopment scheme will promote tourism, people will facilitate travel, clean and modern railway stations will increase employment opportunities and economic and social development of the region.
