New Delhi. The Supreme Court (Supreme Court) MK Stalin Government of Tamil Nadu has won a major victory on Tuesday. Tamil Nadu Governor R.N. Tamil Nadu Governor Rn Ravi has expressed displeasure over stopping ten Bills. The Supreme Court said that keeping the bills stopping the Bills is violated and illegal. The court said that if the bills have been sent to the Governor for the second time, then they must be approved. The governor can stop a bill only when the bill is separated from the earlier bill.
The Supreme Court said that the Governor cannot stop the Bills passed from the assembly for indefinite time. He can send a bill to the government again for consideration, but if the assembly passes the bill back in the old form, the Governor has no option but to approve it. He cannot keep hanging in the name of sending him to the President.
Supreme Court judge JB Pardiwala said that the question before him was that this important decision to the interpretation of Article 200 of the Constitution has been given on the petition of the Tamil Nadu Government. The state government accused the Governor of keeping the bills passed from the Legislative Assembly on behalf of the Governor. At the same time, the governor had said that he had informed the state government to stop these laws. He has sent several laws to the President for approval. Doing so comes under their jurisdiction.
The Tamil Nadu government said that Governor RN Ravi has not approved 10 Bills. The oldest of these bills is from January 2020. The state assembly has been re -passed and sent to the Governor. They have no choice but to approve those Bills, but after stopping the bills for a long time, the governor is now asking to send them to the President.
Now the bench of Justice JB Pardiwala and R Mahadevan, while giving the verdict, has declared the process adopted by the Governor wrong. The judges have said that the constitution does not give the power of 'veto' to the governor. The Supreme Court also used special power received under Article 200 of the Constitution in view of the delay in the case. The court ordered that the 10 bills sent again to the Governor from the Legislative Assembly would be considered approved in the same way when they were sent again.
