CLAT 2025 Result Hearing: The hearing on the CLAT 2025 exam issues, which commenced earlier today, has been adjourned and will continue tomorrow, April 8.

The Delhi High Court on Monday stated that at least one question in the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT 2025) this year has to be scrapped. A bench of Chief Justice Devendra Kumar Upadhyaya and Justice Tushar Rao Gedela made the observation while hearing the case regarding the undergraduate (UG) question paper, as reported by the Bar and Bench.

The court also pointed out the need for urgency, underlining that the delays in the reconsideration of the result are affecting the CLAT counselling process, which is on hold. The bench suggested bifurcating the hearing into two phases—one for undergraduate (UG) and another for postgraduate (PG) issues—to accelerate the process, especially for UG candidates, as per the media reports.

What's Next?

The hearing is scheduled for April 8, 2025, when the court will proceed with hearing the objections of students and the responses of the Consortium. The final decision on the new result and the counselling schedule will be made shortly thereafter.

The entrance test of CLAT for admission to undergraduate and postgraduate courses in NLUs (CLAT UG and CLAT PG) was conducted in December 2025, with the results being declared the same month. But petitions were moved in several high courts claiming that there were incorrect questions in the test.

In February, the Supreme Court of India shifted all the petitions to the Delhi High Court in order to organise the proceedings and prevent conflicting judgments.
