Nayanthara and Prabhu Deva were once one of the most talked-about couples in the film industry. Their relationship reportedly began during the shooting of the film Wooland though they kept it private at first, their public appearances soon confirmed the speculations.

As their bond deepened, Prabhu Deva divorced his wife, Ramlath, signaling his commitment to Nayanthara. She was also ready to make personal sacrifices, including converting to Hinduism. But their plans to marry were derailed by three conditions reportedly set by Prabhu Deva.

The Three Conditions That Led to the Breakup

According to a report by Asianet Tamil, the breakup happened because of three conditions that Prabhu Deva put forward before marriage. Nayanthara accepted two of them: she agreed to convert to Hinduism and respected his commitment to his children from his previous marriage. However, the third condition became the breaking point.

Prabhu Deva reportedly asked Nayanthara to quit acting after marriage. This clashed with her career goals, as she was one of the leading actresses in the industry. Despite multiple discussions, she chose to continue acting. This disagreement eventually caused a rift, leading to their separation.

Life After the Breakup

Both Nayanthara and Prabhu Deva have since moved on. Nayanthara married filmmaker Vignesh Shivan, and Prabhu Deva is now married to Dr. Himani Singh. They are both leading separate and happy lives.
