According to The Starin an interview with Headline DailyTsui explained: “I was unlucky.”

“Just a year after opening, the pandemic hit, and it lasted for three years,” he said. “Of course, I had to shut down my business. I lost a six-figure sum.”

The actor shared that starting the tuition center was part of his efforts to diversify his income in recent years. Reflecting on his varied career before entering the entertainment industry, Tsui revealed that he worked numerous jobs, including chef, construction worker, and delivery driver.

“Looking back, I used to think I was invincible … that I could do anything,” Tsui said. “It wasn’t until I stepped into the entertainment industry and met more people that I realised how small I was, how much I had to learn and how much I was lacking.”

He went on to describe how joining TVB, where he began his career in 1998, transformed his life both professionally and personally. Tsui credits his time at the station with helping him become a more easygoing and open individual.

“All the major milestones in my life happened while I was at TVB,” he added. “I got married in 2006, welcomed my first child in 2007, started landing bigger roles, had my daughter in 2015, and now my son has just turned 18.”

“My entire life has unfolded within this company.”

Tsui, 51, is best known for his roles in the 2007-2008 sitcom “Best Selling Secrets” and the 2012-2015 sitcom “Come Home Love.”
