OpenAI has announced to make ChatGPT Plus available for free to college students so that the use of AI in the field of education can be promoted, although this facility is currently available only in the US and Canada and will run till the end of May. Under this limited-time offer, OpenAI will provide premium services like GPT-4o, advanced file analysis, and voice interaction to students for free, which are usually available under a subscription fee of $20 i.e. around Rs 1,704.91 per month.

According to a Forbes report, more than one-third of youth in the US are already using ChatGPT to help them study. Institutions like California State University have already started AI-based educational collaboration with OpenAI. Now through this free initiative, OpenAI will be able to reach students even better and increase the use of AI in education.
