Aadhaar Card Update Rules: The Aadhaar card issued by the government has become an important document in today's time. Its importance can be understood from the fact that without it you cannot buy a SIM card, let alone avail the benefits of any government scheme. From school admission to opening a bank account, you need an Aadhaar card everywhere. You can use this document at every place where ID proof is required.

It is also very important to update all the information on the Aadhaar card correctly. That is, from name to address, all the details should be correct. But sometimes people make some mistakes while making an Aadhaar card unknowingly. However, UIDAI also provides the facility to update the information (Aadhaar Update Rules).
Do you know that if you want to update your name, mobile number, home address, gender, etc. in the Aadhaar card, then different limits have been fixed for this (Aadhaar Update Limit)? For example, you can update some information as many times as you want, there is no limit for them, while you can update some information only once. Let us know how many times you can update which information.
Home Address (Aadhaar Card Address Change Online)
Suppose you are no longer living at the place where you were living when you made your Aadhaar card. In such a situation, you can easily update your home address on the Aadhaar card (Change Address in Aadhaar). People's home addresses keep changing, people living on rent often change their house in a year or two. At the same time, many times people change their house or even the city, so there is no limit for updating their home address (Aadhaar Address Update Process). That is, you can change the address in the Aadhaar card as many times as you want.
Mobile Number (Aadhaar Mobile Number Update)
If your mobile number in the Aadhaar card is wrong or you have changed your mobile number (Change Phone Number in Aadhaar), then you can easily update it. UIDAI allows you to update the phone number in your Aadhaar as many times as you want (Aadhaar Mobile Number Update). Just like the home address, there is no limit for changing the mobile number in Aadhaar (Update Aadhaar Mobile Number).
Name and Date of Birth (Aadhaar Name & DOB Update)
You can update your name in Aadhaar card (Aadhaar Name Update), but UIDAI gives only 2 chances to change the name in Aadhaar (Aadhaar Name Change Process). That is, you can change your name (Aadhaar Name Correction) only twice in your entire life. Similarly, if your date of birth in Aadhaar card is wrong, then you can change it too (Change DOB in Aadhaar), but it can be updated only once (Aadhaar DOB Update).
Which information will be updated online-offline
You can use both online and offline methods to update the information of Aadhaar card. But you should know which information you can update online from home (Aadhaar Update Online) and for which you will have to go to the Aadhaar center.
If you want to update your home address, name, date of birth or gender, then it can be easily done online. On the other hand, if you want to change the mobile number in your Aadhaar card or update biometric details (Fingerprint Update in Aadhaar, Aadhaar Photo Change), then for this you will have to go to the Aadhaar Enrollment Center.

If your Aadhaar card is not updated, then get it updated as soon as possible, because it is necessary for many government schemes, banking services and digital transactions.
