Mumbai Indians captain Hardik Pandya has once again been fined for slow over speed. Pandya had to face a match suspension due to slow over speed last year and did not play in the first match of IPL 2025. Pandya, who has just returned after the ban, has been fined Rs 12 lakh due to slow over speed.

A statement by the IPL said that since it was the first crime of this session of his team under Article 2.2 of the IPL code of conduct, which is to minimum over-rate offenses, Pandya was fined Rs 12 lakh. According to the new rule, now due to slow over speed, the captain will not be banned from any match, but will be given demerit marks.

Gill and Sudarshan gave great start

Let us know that Mumbai has lost second consecutive defeat in IPL 2025. MI, who lost to CSK in the first match, was defeated by Gujarat Titans. Winning the toss of the match, MI captain Hardik Pandya decided to bowl. From Gujarat, Sai Sudarshan and captain Shubman Gill landed as opening pair and both batted brilliantly. Gujarat's first wicket fell as captain Shubman Gill. Gill scored 38 runs in 27 balls. His innings included 4 fours and 1 six. After this, wicketkeeper Jose Butler also scored runs in a rapid style. Sai Sudarshan was saving his wicket at one end.

Tilak-Surya's innings did not stop defeat

Sai Sudarshan scored 63 runs in 41 balls. He hit 4 fours and 2 sixes during his innings. Gujarat gave a target of 197 runs to Mumbai with the help of the three upper batsmen. However, MI could not chase the target and lost the match by 36 runs. This is MI's second defeat. In the first match, MI was captained by Suryakumar Yadav. Tilak Verma and Surya played attractive innings from MI. But the innings of both batsmen could not postpone MI's defeat.
