Sturdy leather boots are a must-have, especially in autumn and winter, but they can also be versatile shoes that carry you through the year for various occasions. I first got over five years ago, as they match my style at any time of year—and most importantly, because these beauties add height.
As someone who is relatively short (5'3) but doesn't like wearing heels daily, I wanted a shoe that could make me at least an inch taller without discomfort or pain in my feet by the end of the day.

The stands on Doc Martens' tallest platform, which boasts the standard bouncing sole you'd find in any Doc Martens shoes, but these are higher than ever.
Crafted from supple Pisa leather, with a black and yellow heel loop and silver branded eyelets for an understated and versatile finish, stand out as Docs with the unmistakable yellow welt stitching and distinctive marked grooving pattern.
Though when you first get them on your feet, didn't take long to become a go-to in my (fairly large) shoe collection. They're comfortable enough to wear all day while working or to a concert without the aches and pains you can experience with overly sturdy shoes.
Doc Martens' insoles are designed to mould to the shape of your foot over time, meaning that after five years of wearing them, are uniquely mine—perfectly fit to my feet for ultimate comfort with every wear.
The only fault I will note with is that the platform is fairly heavy, so it took some time to get used to. Unlike the original 1460 Boots, which feature a thinner and more flexible sole, these shoes may make you feel like you're being weighed down, but after wearing them for some time, I can say now that the added weight doesn't phase me anymore.
