Obnews Automobile Desk: Vehicle drivers passing through toll plazas in and around Lucknow will have to pay more toll fees from April 1. The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has issued a notification of new toll rates for 2025-26. These revised rates will be applicable from 12 noon on 31 March, which will affect many major routes including Lucknow, Nawabganj, Barabanki, Sultanpur, Ayodhya, Rae Bareli.

Toll rates grow every year

NHAI Project Director Saurabh Chaurasia said that the toll rates are changed every year. This time too, rates have been increased from 5 to 10 rupees. In addition, monthly pass rates have also increased. Under the new toll fee, the drivers will have to pay more at the 12 major toll plazas of Lucknow zone.

Which toll plaza increased toll fee?

Under the new toll rates, the fee on various toll plazas adjacent to Lucknow will be as follows-

Lucknow-Nawabganj-Kanpur Road

  • Nawabganj Toll Plaza – ₹ 100 (Single Trip), ₹ 145 (Round Trip), ₹ 3265 (Monthly Pass)

Barabanki and nearby toll

  • Ahmedpur Toll – ₹ 120 (Single Trip), ₹ 180 (Round Trip), ₹ 4005 (Monthly Pass)
  • Shahbpur Toll – ₹ 40 (Single Trip), ₹ 60 (Round Trip), ₹ 1360 (Monthly Pass)
  • Twelve Toll – 11 110 (single trip), ₹ 160 (round trip), ₹ 3585 (monthly pass)

Ayodhya and Rae Bareli route

  • Raunaahi Toll, Ayodhya – ₹ 125 (Single Trip), ₹ 190 (Round Trip), ₹ 4210 (Monthly Pass)
  • Dakhina Sheikhpur, Rae Bareli – ₹ 120 (Single Trip), ₹ 175 (Round Trip), ₹ 3940 (Monthly Pass)

Toll of Bahraich and Balrampur

  • Ani Toll, Bahraich – ₹ 45 (Single Trip), ₹ 70 (Round Trip), ₹ 1535 (Monthly Pass)
  • Gulalpurwa Toll, Bahraich – ₹ 55 (Single Trip), ₹ 80 (Round Trip), ₹ 1760 (Monthly Pass)
  • Dularpur Toll, Bahraich – ₹60 (Single Trip), ₹85 (Round Trip), ₹1935 (Month pass)
  • Badgaon Toll, Balrampur – ₹ 25 (Single Trip), ₹ 40 (Round Trip), ₹ 855 (Monthly Pass)

Toll of Sultanpur and Hardoi

  • Asaroga Toll, Sultanpur – ₹ 115 (Single Trip), ₹ 170 (Round Trip), ₹ 3770 (Monthly Pass)
  • Ballipur Toll, Hardoi – ₹ 90 (Single Trip), ₹ 135 (Round Trip), ₹ 2945 (Monthly Pass)

Vehicle drivers will get additional expenses

These increased rates will affect millions of vehicles every day, as about 10 lakh small and big vehicles pass through these toll plazas daily. Vehicle drivers will now have to pay more toll on every trip, which can make the journey expensive.
