Sushmita Sen and Akshay Kumar have featured in several photoshoots together but they've never really romanced each other on-screen. Their photoshoot from the 90s still continues to be remembered and fans felt nostalgic when they witnessed this re-union. Akshay and Sushmita both were walking the red carpet of an awards show and posing for the paps.
As the duo saw each other, they hugged each other and spoke. It was a treat for fans to see them pose together. As the video went viral all over the internet, netizens felt that both Akshay and Sushmita still look the same. Many also demanded that the duo should do a film together.

For those not in the know, Sushmita had once revealed how she had to leave a movie which starred Akshay halfway. The actress said that she was shooting in Canada for a movie which also starred Akshay. But that's the time when her daughte Renee who was a baby, fell seriously ill and was rushed to the hospital.
She said during a chat with The Mojo Story with Barkha Dutt, "I took a flight back and said, ‘I know this is the end of my career; I’m so sorry.’ They were very nice about it, at least superficially, I think." She added that she came to Mumbai and was with her for a week of hospitalisation." It was already quite late, by the time Sushmita went back to the job.
Reports suggest that the only film to come out at that time was 'Ajnabee' and many speculated that eventually Bipasha Basu had replaced Sushmita Sen in the movie.
