Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard brought This Morning to a brief pause during Wednesday's (March 26) instalment to alert viewers of an upcoming big ITV schedule reshuffle.
Kicking off the show, they teased the day's packed agenda with Cat, 48, greeting viewers: "Hello there and welcome to your Wednesday's This Morning" while Ben, 50, eagerly contributed: "We have got a lot in this show, don't we?".
Cat revealed: "A lot! It's a shorter one today" and Ben clarified: "A little bit shorter but we're packing loads in."
Today's episode of This Morning will finish at the earlier time of 12:15pm (on Wednesday 26 March) instead of its usual slot ending at 12:30pm due to the ITV News Special: The Chancellor's Statement.
This adjustment means that Loose Women will not be broadcast today as it normally follows from 12:30pm to 1:30pm. Fans can rest assured as both ITV talk shows are set to resume their regular timetable tomorrow (Thursday 27 March), reports Wales Online.
hThe announcement comes amid news of Vanessa Feltz's departure from This Morning after she disclosed her unwillingness to part ways despite bagging her own programme on Channel 5.
The broadcasting veteran, aged 63, is bidding farewell to the beloved ITV daytime show, where she has been a staple for over thirty years.
While securing her brand-new daytime chat show with the competitor network, Vanessa initially believed she could juggle both commitments, yet it appears things have not played out as expected.
In a candid conversation with the Metro, TV star Vanessa Feltz disclosed that juggling two high-profile roles was not feasible, yet she assured there was no animosity with ITV chiefs, who were supportive of her move to Channel 5.
Vanessa shared with the news outlet: "I love This Morning, I would never leave it, I couldn't love it more. I would happily have stayed and gone on the back of a motorbike from the This Morning studio straight to Channel 5 and done both."
The television favourite continued: "I almost believed I'd be able to do that, but I think apparently, it's not the way it's done... but I'd have done it, and I think they would have been happy for me to do it too."
Moreover, Vanessa emphasised that she had no intention of leaving This Morning and would have remained if the opportunity at Channel 5 hadn't come up.
This Morning airs weekdays on ITV at 10am
