UPI Down In India, the UPI server went down at 7 pm on Wednesday, making payments on platforms like PhonePe, Google Pay and Paytm not possible. Thousands of users complained of failure in transactions. If UPI is not working, you can send money through net banking, through IMPS, NEFT or RTGS.

UPI users across India have complained of massive UPI outages due to the massive disruption in financial transactions across the country. According to users, PhonePe, Paytm, and Google Pay stopped working on Wednesday evening.

The Downdetector data also showed that more than 1300 people have complained of a UPI outage after 7 pm on Wednesday. NPCI, which manages UPI, has issued a statement regarding the outage. NPCI wrote in a post on X, "NPCI faced temporary technical issues, which led to a partial decline in UPI. This has now been resolved and the system has stabilized. Sorry for the inconvenience. "

In case UPI (Unified Payments Interface) is down, follow these options:

  • Wait for a while when UPI is down. Often there is a temporary problem in the UPI server, which gets fixed after some time. Try again after a few minutes or hours.

  • Perform transactions through a separate UPI app. If you are using Google Pay, try transacting through PhonePe, Paytm, BHIM UPI or the bank's UPI app.

  • Use IMPS/NEFT. If UPI is not working, you can send money through net banking via IMPS, NEFT, or RTGS.

  • Pay by cash or debit card. If it is necessary to pay immediately, then pay cash or use a debit card / credit card.
