Santhil, a Public Engagement expert from the Public Diplomacy Section, and Emilia B. Smith, Public Diplomacy Officer for Public Engagement at the US Consulate General in Hyderabad, paid a visit to Sri Venkateswara University here on Tuesday.
Their visit’s goals were to learn more about the university’s academic programs and investigate possible joint ventures between Education USA, the Public Diplomacy Section, and SV University through the Fulbright Foreign Student Program and the United States-India Educational Foundation (USIEF).
Principals of Arts and Engineering Colleges Prof. K Sudha Rani and Prof. G Srinivasulu, RUSA coordinators Prof. Ramashri and Prof. Usha Reddy, Dean of International Affairs Prof. Kishore, Dean of Research and Development Prof. Narsimha, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Ch Appa Rao, Registrar Prof. M Bhupathi Naidu, and others participated in the discussions.
The discussion’s main goals were to promote understanding between parties and possible collaboration in important fields of study and research. The US Consulate General personnel wanted to learn more about SV University’s research projects, academic programs, and community service activities.
Potential partnerships between SV University and the US schools were also discussed during the conference. Funding for particular initiatives, access to scholarly resources and knowledge, establishing collaborations with US universities, and disseminating information about educational exchange programs were all potential areas of assistance.
The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Purdue and Northeastern Universities and S V University was a major focal point of the talks. The exchange’s main goals were to improve research possibilities for academics and students, foster information sharing, and fortify academic relationships.
