An alert has been sent by the Gurugram Traffic Police for travelers using the Delhi-Jaipur Highway.
According to the notice, traffic on the highway will be rerouted since the Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA) is building the top portion of the foot over bridge (FOB) near Narsinghpur.
From Wednesday at midnight until Thursday at six in the morning, the route detour will be in effect.
Route detours
Automobiles traveling from Delhi to Jaipur must turn left at Hero Honda Chowk and right at the Subhash Chowk red signal. Vatika Chowk is another right. By continuing straight, you may connect to the highway via the SPR and Dwarka Road.
Automobiles traveling from Jaipur to Delhi will use the Dwarka Expressway from the highway after crossing the Kherki Daula toll.
Automobiles traveling from Jaipur to Gurugram will go along the same Dwarka Expressway, make a U-turn at Elan Chowk, travel on SPR Road, turn left at Vatika Chowk, and arrive at Rajiv Chowk.
When will the public be able to access it?
GMDA officials said the FOB will be available by March 31. The task of joining its top portion will be completed first. The steps will then be put in place. Plans are underway to make it publicly accessible on April 1.
Why was FOB required?
The FOB was an inevitable need for public safety. Over 15 people have died in Narsinghpur as a result of leaping over the highway grill in the last five years.
Additionally, the Narsinghpur and Kherki Daula region is home to several business headquarters with thousands of employees. They had trouble crossing the street without FOB. Numerous people have been struck by cars as they cross the roadway.
