Dhivya Shashidhar came into the spotlight recently after her husband, former Rippling co-founder Prasanna Sankar, shared several posts accusing her of kidnapping their child and filing false police complaints.

His posts included screenshots allegedly linking her to a man named Anoop Kuttysankaran. However, Dhivya has hit back, accusing Prasanna of being a "sexual pervert." Additionally, Prasanna has claimed that Dhivya received ₹9 crore as alimony. Here's a complete breakdown of the incident.

Who Is Dhivya Shashidhar?

Dhivya Sashidhar went to NIT Trichy. There she met Prasanna and the two fell in love before eventually getting married. According to report she is a U.S. citizen. She has reportedly spent a significant portion of her life in the United States while frequently traveling to India. Recently, she has gained attention due to her high-profile divorce and custody battle. She has a nine-year-old son with Prasanna Sankar.

Divya Shashidar And Prasanna Sankar's Divorce, Child Custody Dispute

According to reports, Prasanna and Divya ended their marriage after Prasanna accused Divya of having an affair with a man named Anoop Kuttysankaran for over six months. As proof, he shared screenshots of messages related to condoms and hotel bookings, which he claimed were provided by Anoop's wife. Following their separation, Divya and Prasanna entered a prolonged legal battle over their divorce settlement and child custody.

What Prasanna Claims

Prasanna claimed that Dhivya demanded millions of dollars as part of the divorce settlement before allegedly filing false allegations of domestic violence, rape, and leaking private videos against him in Singapore. According to him, Singaporean authorities dismissed all these allegations following an investigation.

The custody battle escalated when Prasanna accused Divya of illegally taking their son to the U.S. In response, he filed an international child abduction case in a U.S. court. To settle the dispute, the couple signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), under which Prasanna agreed to pay ₹9 crores as a settlement and ₹4.3 lakh per month in child support.

They also signed an MoU under which Prasanna agreed to pay Rs 9 crore and Rs 4.3 lakh per month in financial support. They settled on a 50-50 custody arrangement for their son.

Sankar further alleged that since his wife filed false cases against him, police have been illegally tracking his cell phone location, car, UPI transactions, and IP address; without any FIR.

'He Is A Sexual Pervert'

"People say that children grow up in a similar way as their parents. My father-in-law has also indulged in sexual offences. He abused my mother-in-law and chased her away from home. Now I am in need of desperate help from Chennai police. Please help," Divya pleaded in her testimony.

Divya has reached out to authorities for help, claiming that her husband threatened her and their son over a property dispute, leaving them with no choice but to move to India from Singapore.

"Now, I do not know what to do. US Embassy and Chennai police are helping me to find the whereabouts of my son. I do not know whether he is being threatened by my husband's PA," she added.

According to Divya, her husband's father also has a history of committing similar offences against women, which prevented both families from resolving their matrimonial disputes through dialogue.
