New Rivalry Sparks for Toni Storm
A new rivalry has emerged for Timeless Toni Storm within AEW, leading to a championship match scheduled for AEW Dynasty 2025 next month. This anticipated title bout has been officially confirmed after weeks of buildup.
During the AEW Collision Slam Dunk on Sunday, both Toni Storm and Megan Bayne delivered promos, culminating in the announcement that they will clash on April 6 in Philadelphia for the AEW Women’s World Championship.
In her promo, Bayne proclaimed herself the All Elite Goddess, claiming divine selection and asserting her dominance over AEW. Storm retorted, questioning Bayne's self-proclaimed divinity and vowing to defeat her at AEW Dynasty 2025.
The tension between these two competitors began during the week of the AEW Revolution pay-per-view, where Toni Storm, a four-time Women’s World Champion, triumphed over Mariah May for the title. Following her victory celebration on Dynamite, Bayne attacked Storm from behind.
Bayne, who has been making waves in the AEW women’s division, has an impressive record of 5-0 in singles matches since her return to the ring in January, including two victories over Kris Statlander. This success has solidified her position as a formidable challenger for the upcoming AEW Dynasty 2025 event. Meanwhile, Storm has established herself as a dominant force in the AEW women’s division since her debut three years ago.
The AEW Dynasty 2025 pay-per-view is set to take place on Sunday, April 6, at the Liacouras Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The current match lineup includes:
– AEW World Championship Match: Jon Moxley (c) vs. Swerve Strickland
– AEW Women’s World Championship Match: “Timeless” Toni Storm (c) vs. Megan Bayne
– AEW International Championship Match: Kenny Omega (c) vs. Ricochet vs. “Speedball” Mike Bailey
