X and Tesla owner Elon Musk has announced that the latter has achieved a key milestone in the journey of making full self-driving technology. Tesla AI recently shared a video on X showcasing the cars doing the magic. The footage showed Tesla EVs autonomously driving from the factory to their designated loading dock lanes without any human help. While sharing this update, the company wrote that they were one step closer to achieving large-scale unsupervised full self-driving.

Tesla's post read, “Teslas now drive themselves from their birthplace at the factory to their designated loading dock lanes without human intervention. One step closer to large-scale unsupervised FSD.”

Last year, Elon Musk introduced Tesla’s Robotaxi, known as the Cybercab, and outlined plans to integrate autonomous driving capabilities into the Model 3 and Model Y by 2025. He revealed that the Cybercab would operate without a steering wheel or pedals and would feature inductive charging instead of a traditional plug. Additionally, he projected that the vehicle would be priced at under $30,000.

Tesla's Autopilot system remains one of the most widely discussed advancements in the automotive industry, offering a glimpse into the evolution of self-driving technology. This sophisticated driver-assist system enables vehicles to steer, accelerate, and brake autonomously within a lane. It can also assist with lane changes on highways. Meanwhile, Tesla’s Full Self-Driving (FSD) package enhances automation further by allowing the vehicle to parallel or perpendicular park itself with just a single command.
