Jamie Carragher claims has been the Premier League’s best player - and picked out as the division's most disappointing team.
The former star has seen his fair share of games this term as part of his role as one of Sky Sports’ star pundits. And speaking on a video shared by The Overlap, Carragher was given the role of handing out his awards so far.
And it was no surprise to hear who he selected as his player of the season, as without hesitation he said Liverpool forward Salah. The Egyptian is in the midst of another sensational campaign this term with 19 goals and 13 appearances in the alone.
Another who has shone this season has been forward . While having not quite matched the lofty heights of last term, he still has 14 goals and six assists in the league, with Carragher naming the 22-year-old as his young player of the season.

He could potentially have faced competition for that award from striker Jhon Duran, who has exploded onto the scene in the Midlands this term. And while he was narrowly beaten, Carragher still gave the Colombian his goal of the season award for his stunning strike from distance against .
Across the Midlands, also featured prominently in Carragher’s awards. side have been named as his surprise package having won 13 of their 23 games so far - leaving them third in the table.
Forest have also been praised for their transfer acumen by Carragher. The signing of Nikola Milenkovic from Fiorentina has been picked as his transfer of the season.
And while Forest have been praised - and justifiably so - Carragher believes that someone else is deserving of the manager of the season award. He selected Andoni Iraola as the Premier League’s standout boss, with the Spaniard leading the Cherries to seventh in the table.

Unfortunately, Carragher also had to hand out some less than desirable awards - and Tottenham feature prominently. side have endured a woeful campaign having already lost 13 league games and as a result, Carragher has named them as the most disappointing team of the campaign.
The North London side also feature when it comes to his game of the season so far. He selected back in December as his game of the season - Luis Diaz and Salah notching braces, while Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai also scored in what was a dominant display.
