Music composer Vishal Dadlani of Vishal-Shekhar duo recently took to Instagram and shared a story where he posted a cryptic note slamming a “basic-to-bad singer” for embarrassing India at such a large stage.

His post read, “I’m really sorry, but when you put a basic-to-bad singer in front of a large crowd on a large stage, all you’re doing is showing more people that the individual can’t really sing, and that sadly, systems within labels in India aren’t geared towards really promoting the best we have. I’ve just seen some clips, and my gosh… How embarrassing! For the Country, the artiste, the public, as well as ‘the scene’.”

However, later, the story was deleted from Vishal’s Instagram account.

The now-deleted story went viral on social media and fans started wondering if Vishal is taking a potshot at Jasleen Royal who performed at Coldplay concert in Mumbai.

One user wrote, “Seems like he is referring to Jasleen Royal's performance during Coldplay’s concert in Mumbai”.

Another user commented, “I attended on 19th and couldn’t wait for her part to get over. She looked absolutely dull and uninterested and at some point it felt like she was just reading the lyrics. It was truly an embarrassment.”

A third user reacted, “I’m a dy patil student and the stadium is just beside our college building. I was writing my exam and just then jasleen began her sound check. My gosh, all of us looked up from our papers at the same time and legit all of us had the same thought : what a crappy singer this is and WHY IS SHE OPENING FOR COLDPLAY???!!!! Trust me, it sounded like a goat blaring on a microphone. We were all laughing in the midst of our toughest paper of the year”.
