Indian Railway Rules For Waiting Tickets: Crores of passengers travel by Indian Railways every day. For whom the railway runs thousands of trains every day. Many people book in advance to travel by train. So that they can get a seat during the journey and their journey can be comfortable. But many times when they book their ticket,

they do not get a confirmed seat. They get a waiting ticket. A rule has been made for confirmation of waiting tickets. Which waiting ticket will be confirmed first. There are 7 types of waiting lists in railways. Which are GNWL, RLWL, PQWL, TQWL, RSWL and RAC. Today we will tell you. Which waiting gets confirmed first in GNWL and PQWL.

General Waiting List

General Waiting List i.e. GNWL is the waiting list ticket issued by the railway. It is given to the passenger who is traveling from Govardhan station from where the train starts. For example, if someone takes a train ticket from Chennai to Bangalore from Chennai. And that ticket is in waiting.

Then he is given General Waiting List i.e. GNWL. But if he books a ticket from any other station ahead. Then in such a case he will not get General Waiting List GNWL. The chance of General Waiting List i.e. GNWL getting confirmed in the train is the highest.

Pooled Quota Waiting List

Pooled Quota Waiting List i.e. PQWL quota is given to those passengers. The passenger who starts his journey from the starting station of the train to the stations in between, is given this PQWL ticket.

When the ticket is in waiting list after booking at small stations in the middle of the route of a train, then the passenger gets Pooled Quota Waiting List i.e. PQWL ticket. The chances of Pooled Quota Waiting List ticket getting confirmed are much less than the General Waiting List quota ticket getting confirmed.
