Ayodhya. In the latest budget, the state government has once again announced a huge amount of Rs 250 crore for the development of Ramnagari Ayodhya. The main objective of this amount is to improve tourism facilities, strengthen infrastructure and develop religious places. The government believes that this will further strengthen the identity of Ayodhya and devotees will get better facilities.
Out of this budget, Rs 150 crore will be given to Shri Ayodhya Ji Teerth Kshetra Development Council. This council works for the expansion of tourism facilities in Ayodhya and surrounding areas, conservation of religious places and improving the facilities for devotees. The government aims to promote Ayodhya as an organized and developed religious tourism centre.
After the consecration of Ram temple, the number of devotees coming to Ayodhya has increased rapidly. Keeping this in view, the government no longer wants to be limited to only the major places, but is also planning to develop less known places but having historical and religious importance. With this, devotees will be able to visit other religious places besides Ram Janmabhoomi and the scope of tourism will increase.
Major sites planned for development by the government include:
Tourism development, beautification and expansion of facilities are proposed at all these sites.
The state government has constituted Shri Ayodhya Ji Teerth Kshetra Development Council to provide better facilities to the devotees. The objective of the council is to conserve religious places, expand tourism facilities and ensure well-organized arrangements for the visiting devotees.
Experts believe that this budget will play an important role in the economic development of Ayodhya. Increase in religious tourism will directly benefit local employment, small business, hotel industry, transport services and handicraft business. Developing less famous religious places will increase the stay time of tourists, which will strengthen the local economy.
The government's plan is not limited to just beautification, but also focuses on enhancing infrastructure, tourism facilities and economic activities. If the schemes are implemented in a timely and transparent manner, Ayodhya can become a major tourist and economic center of North India along with faith.
