As India gears up for the festive season, here’s a look at the stock market schedule for Diwali week — including regular sessions, holidays, and the special Muhurat trading window.

The stock market will remain open on Monday, 20th Octoberfor regular trading hours. However, on Tuesday, 21st Octobermarkets will open for a special Muhurat trading session to mark Diwali – Lakshmi Puja.

The Muhurat trading session will take place between 1:45 PM and 2:45 PMwith a pre-open session from 1:30 PM to 1:38 PM.

Following Diwali, Wednesday, 22nd Octoberwill be a market holiday on account of Balipratipada (Govardhan Puja).

As the festival of lights ushers in new beginnings, investors traditionally consider Muhurat trading an auspicious time to make fresh investments.
