Sanvikaa Reflects on 'Panchayat's Enduring Charm
In a recent interview, actress Sanvikaa, who plays Rinki in the popular series Panchayat, expressed her belief that the show maintains its original charm despite its evolution over the seasons. Since its debut five years ago, the series has captivated audiences with its heartfelt storytelling and the genuine nature of its characters.
As the plot has developed, political themes have increasingly influenced the narrative, particularly in the last two seasons. When asked if the show might lose its innocence due to these political elements, Sanvikaa responded, “I don’t think so. Even when characters are in competition, they still support each other in times of need.”
She elaborated, stating, “In real village life, despite opposition, people often come together to help one another during crises, regardless of personal feelings.”
Sanvikaa emphasized that the essence of innocence remains intact, albeit sometimes overshadowed by current events and political dynamics. She believes that while the show has introduced more complex situations, the core innocence of the characters is still present.
Previously, she discussed her character's development over the four seasons, noting that the creators intentionally chose to reveal her character gradually rather than all at once. In the first season, Rinki only appears in the final moments, but her role has expanded significantly since then.
Reflecting on this gradual character progression, she remarked, “The makers wanted to unfold Rinki’s story slowly, which is why they introduced her in pieces.”
As the series progresses, viewers are learning more about Rinki’s personality, her family dynamics, and her romantic life, all revealed through a thoughtful and measured narrative approach.
