Keeping this in mind, a big decision has been taken to cut electricity. This major decision has been taken on the orders of the Director General of the Fire and Emergency Services Department. Currently, the stadium is running only at the facility of generators. According to a Times of India report, a BEScom spokesman said, “On the suggestion of DG, we had sent a notice to KSCA in the second week of June and cut the power supply for three days.” This case is now drawing attention to the Karnataka High Court.
Was there any problem during the IPL too?
After this major decision of the administration, now the question arises whether there were no strong security arrangements at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium even during IPL 2025? The High Court has also reprimanded the basecom that if there was a problem in the stadium, then why no action was taken earlier. Many matches were played at this stadium during IPL 2025. Apart from this, after winning the IPL, the RCB team celebrated in this stadium. 11 people were killed and a large number of people were injured due to stampede.
