The sudden demise of actress Shefali Jariwala, popularly known as the Kaanta Laga Girl, has left a wave of sorrow across the entertainment industry. She passed away on 27 June in Mumbai due to a heart attack. Among the most affected is her husband Parag Tyagi, whose bond with Shefali was often described as strong, steady, and full of love.

Shefali, who was extremely private about her personal life, had always been open about her admiration for Parag. The couple were known for their solid relationship, which lasted over a decade—including four years of dating and nine years of marriage.

A Heartbroken Husband

Late on Friday night, after Shefali complained of severe chest pain, Parag rushed her to Bellevue Multispecialty Hospital in Andheri, where she was declared dead. Since then, videos have surfaced showing Parag visibly shattered while leaving the hospital. His grief is palpable, and fans are pouring in condolences, remembering the beautiful bond they shared.

Parag Tyagi: From Small Town to Big Screen

Parag hails from Modinagar and began his acting career with a role in the acclaimed 2008 film A Wednesday, starring Naseeruddin Shah and Anupam Kher. He made his television debut in Pavitra Rishta (2009) as Vinod Karanjkar, and later appeared in a variety of shows including:

  • Brahmarakshas

  • Jodhaa Akbar

  • Shakti – Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki

He also ventured into Telugu cinema, with films like Agnyathavaasi, Venky Mama, Ruler, and Sarkaru Vaari Paata. His most recent film appearance was in Salman Khan’s 2023 release Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, where he played the role of Yogeshwar Kodati.

A Love That Withstood the Storm

Before Parag, Shefali was married to Harmeet Singh (of the Meet Bros duo) in 2004. That marriage ended in 2009, with Shefali alleging domestic violence and emotional abuse. After the difficult divorce, Shefali found comfort and support in Parag.

The two dated for four years before tying the knot in 2015. Their relationship became one of the most admired in the industry, known for their friendship, understanding, and love. They even appeared together in Nach Baliye 5 and later in Nach Baliye 7, where their chemistry won hearts.

An End Too Soon

While the industry mourns Shefali’s tragic passing, Parag Tyagi stands as a symbol of unwavering support and love. His loss is immeasurable—and for fans, their love story will always be remembered as one of strength, resilience, and deep affection.
