A Universal Account Number is an important identification for the members of the Employees' Provident Fund Organization (EPFO). This 12-digit number distinguishes your PF account, allowing you to easily track your Provident Fund PF balance, passbook, and other services. If you do not know your UAN number or want to check it, the process is extremely simple through the online facilities of EPFO.

Let us tell you step-by-step how you can check your UAN number.

Step 1: Visit the official website of EPFO

First of all, do this work.

First of all, open the official website of EPFO (www.epfindia.gov.in) (www.epfindia.gov.in) in the browser of your mobile or computer. You will see many options on the homepage. Here click on For Employees in the Services section.

Step 2: Select Member UAN/Online Service option

In the For Employees section, you will find the link to Member UAN/Online Service. By clicking on this, you will reach the Unified Member Portal. Here you will get many services related to UAN.

Step 3: Click on Know Your UAN

The option of Know Your UAN will appear on the portal. Click on it. This will take you to a new page, where you can check UAN by entering your Aadhaar number, PAN number, or other details.

Step 4: Enter the required information

To check UAN, you will have to provide any one of your mobile numbers, Aadhaar number, PAN number, or PF account number. Along with this, your name, date of birth, and other basic information may also be asked. Fill in all the information correctly.

Step 5: OTP Verification

After submitting the details, an OTP will come to your registered mobile number. Enter this OTP and click on Validate OTP. After OTP verification, your UAN number will appear on the screen.

Apart from this, you can also check your UAN number by using the UMANG app. If you have a smartphone, download the UMANG app. In this, go to the EPFO section choose the Know Your UAN option and follow the steps mentioned above. First of all, make sure that your mobile number is registered in the EPFO records. If the UAN number is not found, contact your employer or the nearest EPFO office. After that, after getting the UAN, keep it safe and register on the EPFO portal so that you can avail passbook, PF balance, and other services. With this process, you can easily check your UAN number and get information about your PF account. The digital services of EPFO have made it more convenient than ever.
