To alert the general public about the increasing digital crimes in the country, cyber security information has been added by telecom companies in the form of a caller tune. "Every day more than 6000 people in the country lose crores of rupees at the hands of cyber criminals........"This caller tune is fine for awareness but its coming before every call is no less than a big trouble. No matter how much emergency someone has, his call cannot be made without listening to this caller tune in the voice of Amitabh Bachchan.

The same situation happened during Corona as well. During that time also people had suggested to the government that it is okay to have such a caller tune before the first call every day but it is big trouble to have it on every call, although later after the protest the government removed it and now the same situation has arisen with this caller tune regarding cybercrime. Every day on social media people are demanding to stop this caller tune. Many people have also filed RTI in this regard.

What is this cyber warning sound?

Telecom companies are giving a warning message before every outgoing call as per the instructions of the Government of India. In this, users are warned not to receive unwanted calls, suspicious links or share unknown OTP. This audio is about 30 seconds long and instructs people to adopt safe behavior. Its purpose is to protect people from digital fraud, but it being repeated on every call is a big problem.

Solution: Just press "1" and proceed

Rajasthan Police Sub-Inspector Aarti Singh Tanwar has shared the solution to this problem on social media. According to her, when this message starts playing at the beginning of the call, open the keypad and press "1". As soon as you do this, the caller tune stops. You can also end it by pressing 0 and 8.
