Napoli have identified their new target in striking position as they are in talks to sign Liverpool’s forward Darwin Nunez. The striker was already said to be leaving the side as the manager Arne Slot doesn’t want him for next season. However, this scenario could be a thing for Napoli as they are in talks with Nunez’s camp to secure a potential deal. There are also few Saudi Pro League clubs but Napoli are active since the start of the window.

Napoli have reportedly identified Darwin Núñez as their prime target to strengthen the striking department this summer. The Serie A side are currently in talks with the Uruguayan forward’s camp, aiming to secure a potential deal as uncertainty looms over his future at Liverpool.

New Reds manager Arne Slot is believed to be planning for the 2025/26 season without Núñez, with reports suggesting the 24-year-old is not in his long-term plans. This has opened the door for interested clubs, and Napoli have wasted little time in making their move.

While a few Saudi Pro League clubs have also shown interest in the striker, it is Napoli who have been the most proactive since the start of the transfer window. The Partenopei are hoping to capitalise on the situation and lure Núñez to Naples, viewing him as a marquee addition to lead their attack under new manager Antonio Conte.
