Milos Kerkez is tipped to 'soon' don the Liverpool shirt according to his brother, as the Reds push forward in negotiations for the Bournemouth defender amidst Arne Slot's squad overhaul. Negotiations are reportedly continuing between Liverpool and Bournemouth, with the south-coast club standing firm on their £45million valuation of the player.

Confirmation of an imminent deal comes from Kerkez's brother, who has amplified speculation by sharing an Instagram story that proclaimed: "Milos Kerkez, soon to be a new Liverpool player, has revealed which club he supports." His international colleague Dominik Szoboszlai has also alluded to Anfield being a potential destination for Kerkez.

When quizzed by Nezmeti Sport on any developments concerning the deal, Szoboszlai cryptically commented: "I don't know about him... for now."

Should Kerkez seal the transition to Liverpool, questions would arise regarding Andrew Robertson's position. Rumours already link him to a transfer to Atletico Madrid. Recently, Robertson admitted to engaging in dialogue with Liverpool regarding his enduring presence at the club.

He said: "We have discussed [my future], of course we have. We've had good discussions, me and the club, but what the future holds, I'm not sure. All I know is I fly off on holiday and it's well needed. I need a rest after a long season, and then I look forward to pre-season. That's all my focus is.

"I can't look too far ahead, I never have done that so I'm not going to start doing that now. I know the position I'm in, I know I've only got a year left.

"A lot's getting spoken about it, a lot's getting said, but my pure focus is focusing on being a dad for the next couple of weeks and enjoying that time with the kids. Then I'll try and come back in the best shape possible for pre-season, and then we'll see what the future holds when those decisions come."

Kerkez may be joined by another high-profile signing. Reports suggest Florian Wirtz is poised to seal a deal beginning at £100million from Bayer Leverkusen to Liverpool this week.

These reported signings are part of a dynamic recruitment drive at Liverpool this summer. The club is on the verge of welcoming Giorgi Mamardashvilli from Valencia, with fellow goalkeeper Armin Pecsi already through the door.

This follows Caoimhin Kelleher's departure to Brentford and the acquisition of Jeremie Frimpong, who stepped into Trent Alexander-Arnold's boots following his switch to Real Madrid.
