Kim Zolciak recently addressed speculation surrounding her finances and divorce during a live appearance on Kristin Cavallari’s Honestly Cavallari: The Headline Tour. The episode aired on Cavallari’s podcast Let’s Be Honest.
During the discussion, Zolciak responded to ongoing public commentary about her personal life, particularly her divorce from former NFL player Kroy Biermann after 12 years of marriage.
First of all, I love when people tell me I spent all of Kroy's money," Zolciak mentioned. She said that she had made more money than Biermann and pointed out that his last NFL season was in 2015. "We're in 2025, and he just got a job in March of 2024," she continued.
Zolciak also claimed that she has been financially responsible for her family for several years. “I’ve worked my a– off to provide for my family and my children,” she said. “This man has not paid a bill in this house in years. Even with a job, he hasn’t paid a bill in this house in years. Not clothes for my children, not extracurricular, nothing.”
She mentioned that she has "filmed four shows in the last four years" and was baffled by public sympathy for Biermann.
Zolciak also claimed that after she made up her mind to seek a divorce, Biermann threatened to ruin her public reputation. "His intention when I told him I was gonna divorce him, was, 'I am gonna publicly ruin you. You're never gonna work again,'" she said. "And he did attempt to. It didn't work."
The breakup of the couple has been reported extensively in recent months, both by fans and in the media.
