How to get a PRAN number?

1. Download the NPS app and tap on “Invest in NPS” on the home screen or go to NPS from the “More” tab.

2. Then fill in the necessary information like your date of birth etc.

3. Select the fund manager and click on “Invest”.

4. Set the investment period as per your convenience and set “Register”.

5. Confirm the amount and charges and verify your PAN number.

6. Set EasyPay or bank mandate from net banking.

In this way, by following some simple steps, you can generate a PRAN number sitting at home and then you get its PDF copy by mail and SMS. While the physical PRAN kit is sent to your home address within 20 days.

How to get the number offline

1. Go to your nearest NPS POP (Point of Presence).

2. After this, take the Subscriber Registration Form (CSRF).

3. Fill in your form and attach documents like Aadhaar, PAN, canceled cheque, photo, etc.

4. Then submit the form and make payment (cash, cheque, or demand draft).

After doing all the offline verification, your PRAN is sent through SMS and email and the card will be sent to your address by post within 20 days.

If you have not received the PRAN kit, then you can go to the CRA website ([http://www.npscra.nsdl.co.in](http://www.npscra.nsdl.co.in)) and check the status from the "Track the status of the PRAN Card" option.
