The British has suffered a major blow recently, with various big companies shutting a number of their store doors. have also been impacted by the mass closures. Physical banks have been struggling to survive as online banking becomes increasingly prominent.


As a result, a number of high street banks, including , have announced that they will be closing a number of branches this year. Santander will close 95 branches in 2025, including 38 in July.


As of May 30, the bank has disclosed that it will be closing branches all over the nation from as early as June. However, there are still a number of branches without confirmed closure dates.


The earliest closure date is June 16, and it will see Clacton, Croydon, Gateshead, Launceston, and Peterhead all lose their Santander branch.


The Surrey Quays branch will be the last to close, scheduled for November 10.
