Paris Saint-Germain head coach Luis Enrique praised the announcement that Luís Campos had agreed to a contract extension with QSI (Qatari Sports Investment as “the best possible news” in today’s press conference.

Yesterday, it was made official that Campos had signed a contract extension, which will keep him as the Sporting Advisor for QSI until 2030. His new contract is expected to come with an expanded role beyond PSG, which could mean that he will be involved in the owner’s burgeoning multi-club strategy.

The news was welcomed by Luis Enrique, “This is the best possible news without a doubt. I’m very happy, especially since it’s a long extension… I’ve had a very good relationship with him from the start. Since day one, I’ve felt a connection, I feel very supported. He’s one of the best sporting directors, if not the best. I’m very happy for him.”

Luis Enrique has routinely talked about how much he enjoys working with the sporting advisor. In March, the head coach stated in a press conference attended by TezzbuzzI started this project with Luís Campos. He is the first person that I spoke with. I started with him, and I would like to end with him. There can be no doubt about that.
