Revanth Reddy, the chief minister of Telangana, has expressed his profound shock and sadness at Padma Shri Vanajeevi Ramaiah’s departure, calling it a major loss to society. The Chief Minister praised the late environmentalist’s conviction that nature and the environment are inextricably connected to human life and offered his sincere condolences to Ramaiah’s family. He prayed for his soul to achieve everlasting peace and said that the ways Ramaiah promoted are an essential source of guidance for today’s youngsters.
Similarly, Andhra Pradesh Minister Nara Lokesh expressed his sympathies, emphasising the sorrow of Ramaiah’s passing. Ramaiah’s life lesson, “Vriksho Rakshati Rakshitah”, which captures the spirit of conserving trees as a legacy for future generations, was commended by him.
Referring to Ramaiah as a genuine environmental fighter, Lokesh underlined that upholding his legacy entails adhering to the values he promoted. He also sent his profound sympathies to Ramaiah’s family at this trying moment.
