1538322 court

Judge Ratna Kumar of the 9th District Additional Sessions rendered a decision against the defendants in the December 23, 2015, murder of a six-year-old child here on Tuesday.

The prosecution established that her uncle, Subbachari Gunashekar, was responsible for the death of the little girl from Devarapalli village. In the Khammam district, Vepada Dhana Lakshmi and Murugan ran a guesthouse in Devarapalli.

Subbachari Gunashekar, Dhana Lakshmi’s younger brother, was hired by the hotel as an employee. He was fired because he was unable to do his job effectively.

Gunashekhar, harboring resentment against his sister, devised a scheme to murder her sister’s kid, who was enrolled in a private school. On December 23, 2015, Gunashekar picked up the youngster from the school. Later, the kid was abducted close to the Raiwada Reservoir, where Gunashekar cut her neck with a broken beer bottle and brutally murdered her. Dhana Lakshmi filed a police report on December 24 when the child failed to return from school, claiming that her daughter had disappeared. The matter was looked into, evidence was gathered, and it was presented in court under the direction of ACP Venkata Rao.

Subbachari Gunashekar was given a death sentence after the court accepted the prosecution’s claims.
