The Kondapaka pumping station, which is a component of the Godavari Drinking Water Supply Project that provides drinking water to Hyderabad, was examined by Ashok Reddy, managing director of the Hyderabad Water Board, on Tuesday. In light of the summer, Ashok Reddy gave the authorities instructions at the meeting to take action to guarantee that the city’s water supply is not disrupted.

Additionally, he gave them instructions to maintain constant alertness and to pump without interruption. He gave them instructions to create plans for the online monitoring system for the city’s water supply from the inlet, to automate the metering system to track those details at the head office, and to set up a flow meter to determine how much water is supplied to the city from Yellampally.

In the event of an emergency, such as fires or pump problems, standby motors should be ready to ensure that the water supply is not cut off. A senior official with the Hyderabad Water Board said that during the inspection, it was also recommended to carry out landscaping and beauty projects around the pumping station.
