As all eyes are on the Paris AI Summit, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is all set to announce the summit today. The French President Emmanuel Macron on Monday during his three-day visit to France. He will co-chair an artificial intelligence (AI) summit with global tech leaders and foreign leaders.Today Prime Minister received a grand welcome from the Indian community as he arrived in Paris. Despite the cold weather, many people gathered to greet him. Here's some of the key highlights of this AI Summit. Paris AI Summit: Key highlightsPM Modi’s visit includes discussions on nuclear energy and meetings with business leaders. PM Modi and other world leaders will co-chair the AI Action Summit. This event is all set to bring together tech executives and global leaders. The main aim is to explore how AI can be used for the public good. Key areas includes the following:Open-source AI systemsClean energy for power data centresImpact of AI on labourAI helping developing nations, and promoting sovereignty are all on the agenda.During the visit, Modi and Macron will also inaugurate India’s first consulate in Marseille. This also marks an important step in strengthening India-France diplomatic ties.The AI roadmap aheadPM Modi will also visit the International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor (ITER) project in Marseille with Macron. The collaborative project with France aims to bring advancements in nuclear fusion for energy generation. This also aims to deal with the increasing concentration of power in the hands of big-b companies such as Alphabet, Microsoft, Amazon and Meta.Looking ahead, "What a memorable welcome in Paris! The chilly weather did not stop our Indian community from showing their love. I am grateful and proud of their achievements," Modi concluded. Before the AI Summit in Paris, Macron welcomed him for a dinner. During the dinner, Modi also met US Vice President JD Vance, who is in France for the summit.
