Amid YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia's India's Got Latent controversy, several other celebrities who earlier appeared on comedian Samay Raina's show as guests have also landed in trouble. Reportedly, after several complaints, Maharashtra Cyber Cell summoned former guests Rakhi Sawant, Siddhant Chaturvedi, Uorfi Javed, Raftaar and Tanmay Bhat. A report in IANS stated that the celebs, including Samay, were called for questioning in connection with the case in Mumbai.According to the report, Samay's lawyer informed the Cyber Cell that the comedian is currently in the US for a tour and will return on March 17, 2025. The advocate has also provided the authorities with his travel ticket and show schedule as proof.On Tuesday (February 11), Maharashtra Cyber Police filed an FIR against 30 to 40 individuals associated with India's Got Latent. The case has been registered under Section 67 (transmission of obscene material in electronic form) of the IT Act and other relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. The FIR reportedly includes names of celebrities linked to the first six episodes of the show. All about the controversy Ranveer Allahbadia appeared on the show as a guest along with content creator Apoorva Makhija aka The Rebel Kid and Ashish Chanchlani. During the episode, Ranveer asked a contestant, "Would you rather watch your parents have sex for the rest of your life or would you join in once and stop it forever?" Apoorva, Ashish and Samay were seen laughing at the supposed 'joke'.This did not go down well with netizens, who slammed the show and the content creators for promoting obscenity and vulgarity online under the garb of freedom of speech. Later, Ranveer issued an apology, stating that there was a 'lapse in judgement' on his part as comedy is not his forte.Complaints have been filed against those involved in Mumbai and Indore, and the Assam Police filed an FIR against Ranveer, Samay and the others on Monday (February 10).
