Sariska Tiger Reserve, located from Delhi, is located in the dry forest area of ​​Aravalli, the sanctuary is spread over an area of ​​866 square kilometers and is mainly divided into three areas – core zone, buffer zone and tourism zone. Sariska has a magnificent variety of vegetation and organisms. There are species of dhok, khair, plum, terminalia and many other plants. The region is mainly spread over dry deciduous forests, providing a suitable habitat for wildlife here. Wildlife found in Sariska include tigers, leopards, deer, wild boar, nilgai and many types of birds. It is also a paradise for reserved bird lovers, as it is home to birds of painted storc, sycamore, green B-eight and many other rare species.


Sariska Reserve Tiger is famous for its royal Royal Bengal Tigers, it is the world's first tiger sanctuary to successfully transfer tigers from Ranthambore. Currently there are about 33 tigers, including 11 adult tigers, 14 adult tigers and 8 cubs. However, the status of tigers in Sariska was not always like this, the year 2004 is considered to be the worst time of Sariska. In that year, all the tigers of the reserve were either hunted, or were sold and sold. After which in the year 2005, the Rajasthan government declared a red alert against poaching and wildlife emergency.


Then a tiger rehabilitation program was started once again in Sariska under Project Tiger, ie in 2008, under which a tiger and two tigers were shifted from Ranthambore National Park. Launched her baby boom in 2012, leaving behind all the uncertainties from the joints of these tigers. Due to which 2-2 cubs were born here in 2012 and 2013, their number increased year after year, which has now reached about 33. In every tiger reserve, every tiger is identified with a particular name. The famous tiger in Sariska is also known by names like Krishna, Sundari, Riddhi, Sita, Nalla, Veeru and Sultana. At the same time, all tigers of Sariska are mainly known according to ST and number according to the records.



In addition to tigers in Sariska, various animals such as leopard, cheetah, wild boar, chital, sambar, nilgai, chausinga, and hyena are seen. Apart from this, bears, wild cats, and jackal are also found here. In the vegetation of Sariska, you will find different types of trees, shrubs, and grasslands. The major flora here include Dhok, Khair, Ber, Terminalia, Palash, and Salar. Different types of herbs and medicinal plants are also found in the forests here, which make the biodiversity even more rich.


The best time to visit the Sariska Tiger Reserve is between October to March, when the weather remains pleasant and wildlife gets more chance to see. The temperature remains moderate during this time, which is ideal for safari. You can also come here in summer, because at this time it is easy to see tigers near water sources. The park remains closed during monsoon, so that wildlife can get breeding time. Therefore, keep these things in mind while planning your journey.


The Alwar Sariska Sanctuary is open from 6.00 am to 10.00 am in summer and from 02.30 to 6.30 in the afternoon and is open for tourists from 6.30 am to 10.30 am and 02.30 to 05.30 in the afternoon in cold weather. The park remains closed every year during the monsoon season i.e. July, August and September. However, apart from some zones of Tiger Reserve Sariska, the root of Alwar Buffer Zone is open to tourists during the monsoon. Entry fees are Rs 80 for Indian tourists and Rs 470 for foreign tourists. Apart from this, separate fees are charged for safari. Here you can enjoy Jeep Safari or Canter Safari. Jeep Safari fee is Rs 4,200, which can include 6 people, while the canter safari fee is Rs 12,000, which can include 20 people.


Sariska Tiger Reserve has rest houses, lodges and resorts to stop. To stay here, you may have to spend 3 to 6 thousand and 2 to 4 thousand to stay in the city area.



Sariska National Park is located at a distance of 165 km from Delhi and 110 km from Jaipur where you can travel from any of the flight, train and road and go to Sariska National Park. If you are planning to go to Sariska National Park by traveling by flight, then tell that the nearest airport of Sariska National Park is Jaipur Airport, which is about 110 km from Sariska National Park. You can reach Jaipur by flying from any major city, and then you can hire a bus or a taxi to reach Sariska National Park from there. The nearest railway station of Sariska National Park is Alwar Junction, which is the main railway station of the city where regular trains are operated from many major cities of India and the state.
