It was another disappointing night for Real Madrid, as they were held to a 1-1 draw for the second successive away match. Las Palmas were more than worth their point in Gran Canaria, which will be of real concern to Carlo Ancelotti.

Ancelotti was very critical of his side when he spoke to the media post-match, as per AS Diary.

“It was a bad first half, that is clear. It’s difficult for us to score at the moment as we don’t have a good balance, we don’t have easy recovery, or quick circulation… We are suffering. It’s been similar to Mallorca. I haven’t seen any improvement. It’s time to find a quick solution; and we are going to find it.

“It’s difficult for us to find the solidity of last season, that’s clear. But we must not look for excuses. The calendar is tight and it is time to recover quickly, because on Sunday there is already another game. I have to be clearer about the strategy, to give clarity to the players.”

It was another disappointing night for Kylian Mbappe, who went without a goal for the third successive La Liga match. Ancelotti admitted that he needs to work out how to get the best out of the Frenchman, as well as the rest of his players.

“I have to look for (a solution), not the players. When there is a problem, it is the coach who must take responsibility for finding a solution. I will.”

Carlo Ancelotti will want to get through quickly to the international break, so that work can be done on the training ground. Before that, his Real Madrid side will face Real Betis on Sunday at the Santiago Bernabeu.
