As soon as the victory of Lal Bihari Yadav was announced on the Varanasi block teacher seat, SP workers and supporters started celebrating. The workers congratulated each other on the victory by feeding them sweets. During this, slogans were raised in support of the party. Supporters were seen dancing with joy to the tune of drums. The process of congratulating each other continued till late night.

According to the information, Lal Bihari Yadav got a total of 11,612 votes, while Dr. Pramod Mishra got 6,597 votes. There was tremendous enthusiasm among SP workers due to this victory. As soon as the results were announced, the supporters raised slogans and danced to the beat of drums.

After winning, Lal Bihari Yadav thanked SP National President Akhilesh Yadav. He said that this victory is the result of Akhilesh Yadav’s policies and raising issues to teachers prominently. He mentioned the issues to restoration of old pension scheme, honorarium of unaided teachers, service conditions of teachers of aided and government schools and honorarium in minority schools and madrassas. Apart from this, he also termed the protest against semester based examinations in degree colleges as one of the important issues to teachers.

Lal Bihari Yadav said that in the last election he had won by a margin of about one thousand votes, whereas this time the margin of victory has increased to more than five thousand votes. According to him, this result shows the increasing confidence of teachers in the party and him. He expressed hope that Akhilesh Yadav will once again become the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh and solve the problems of teachers. SP government stands with the teachers, hence for the second time also these people have made me win, I will try to fulfill the promise I have made to them as soon as possible.
