What if the payment is made even if the mobile remains in the pocket and there is a QR code on the front? Jio has showcased one such cool and futuristic product at the India Mobile Congress 2026. The company has showcased camera glasses, audio glasses and earphones in its personal AI wearable range. These include features like Scan and Pay, AI Voice Assistant, Multi-Indian Language Support, Live Translation, AI Note Taking and Live Cricket Commentary.

The most interesting feature is Scan and Pay. The camera glass will scan the UPI QR code, the user will give voice command and after confirmation the payment will be done. Up to ₹5,000 can be paid at a time through UPI Circle. This limit is not fixed by Jio, but by the rules of UPI Circle. Its monthly limit is ₹15,000.

This means that while making payment at the shop, many steps like removing the mobile, unlocking, opening the app and scanning QR can be reduced. Here AI becomes not just an assistant that answers questions, but a technology that works on your command. The company's effort is to remove AI from mobile screens and keyboards and connect it to voice and everyday use.

Another major use of Jio AI glasses is live translation. Two people speaking different Indian languages will be able to understand each other with the help of a wearable device. You speak in your language, the person in front of you speaks in his own language, the work in between will be handled by AI.

And the matter does not stop at just payment and translation. There is AI note taking to ensure that no important thing is missed in the meeting. If you want to stay connected to the match on the go, you will also get live cricket commentary. That is, whether it is an office meeting or the thrill of cricket, the effort to reduce the need to look at mobile phones again and again is clearly visible.

Jio says that the purpose of these wearables is to increase productivity and knowledge through AI and make everyday tasks easier. Special emphasis is on voice and Indian languages, so that users can use AI and digital services in their own language.

This showcase of Jio gives a glimpse of the next phase of wearable tech. The idea of smart glasses is not new, but features like UPI payments, Indian languages, live translation, AI note taking and cricket commentary bring it closer to the Indian user.
