A shocking incident took place in the Ram Mandir area in the western part of Mumbai, where two youths died due to suffocation due to the strong chemical gas released in a public toilet. The incident took place in a public toilet in front of Parsi Panchayat Gate near Mrinaltai Gore flyover in Ram Mandir East. The names of the youth who died are Prabhakar Dhaniwar (24) and Bhavin Desai (18).

According to initial information received, both of them had gone to the public toilet to have breakfast at night. At the same time suddenly a strong chemical smell spread in the toilet. Due to this gas, both of them had difficulty in breathing and they suffocated. As soon as information about the incident was received, the local people immediately started rescue work. Both were admitted to Trauma Care Hospital in Jogeshwari around midnight. However, both of them died before the treatment could begin in the hospital. Doctors declared both of them dead at 3:49 am.

Meanwhile, it is not yet clear what actually caused the poisonous chemical gas to form in the public toilet and how it spread there. There was chaos in the area for some time after the incident. The police have inspected the spot and started investigation, and the reason behind the generation of gas is being ascertained. The investigation is expected to clarify the exact cause of the accident.
