- take deep breaths after waking up in the morning: In Japan, people do not look at their mobile phones first thing in the morning. The first thing those people do in the morning is to take a deep breath. This small habit is helpful in balancing your hormones. Actually, taking deep breaths after waking up in the morning calms the mind and controls cortisol.
- drinking lukewarm water after waking up in the morning: After waking up in the morning, the first thing you do when you drink lukewarm water is to slowly wake up your body. Actually, after waking up in the morning the body becomes dehydrated. In such a situation, if you drink tea or coffee first thing in the morning, it can increase the cortisol level more rapidly. Therefore, drink lukewarm water first thing in the morning. However, after drinking water you can consume tea or coffee.
- Taking morning sunlight: Taking morning sunlight helps in setting the body’s circadian rhythm i.e. body clock correctly. This helps in controlling cortisol levels. Due to which the body gets energy in the morning and gets good sleep at night.
