Mumbai: On the occasion of Global Entrepreneurship Day by Maharashtra Center for Entrepreneurship Development Dadar The 'World Entrepreneur Day Award 2026' ceremony was held in Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Theater here with great pomp. Former MP Brigadier Sudhir Sawant presided over the event. Ravindra Mangave, President of Maharashtra Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture, Nand Kumar Katkar, President of Vasantdada Patil Foundation, Nirman Group Dr. Rajendra Sawant, Dr. Ajit Marathe, Senior Vice President of Maharashtra Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture and industry stalwarts like Karunakar Shetty of Ship Air Forwarders and Digvijay Pol of District Industries Center were present.

Speaking on the occasion, MACCIA President Ravindra Mangave said, “Industry and innovation are the real backbone of India's economic development. Today's young generation should not be job seekers but become 'employers' by starting their own enterprises. Through MSMEs and startups, we can provide employment opportunities to the youth in rural and urban areas. MACCIA stands firmly behind all such entrepreneurs.”

In this ceremony, which started with the lighting of the lamp, successful entrepreneurs who have performed remarkably in various fields were honored. 'Entrepreneurs Club App' was officially launched to provide digital support to new entrepreneurs. Along with this, a special book 'Deepstambh', rich in success stories and guidance information of entrepreneurs, was published.

The attendees were given detailed information about the MSME and startup schemes of the government. Project Officer of MCED Pradeep Sawant and Regional Officer D. U. Thawre did it under the guidance of MCED Executive Director Kiran Jadhav. The program was attended by hundreds of professionals, new entrepreneurs and students from Mumbai.
