IRCTC has announced ‘Pitru Paksha Tirtha Yatra (Puri-Gangasagar-Baidyanath Dham)’ Bharat Gaurav Special Tourist Train Package. The journey will commence on September 30, 2026 and end on October 8, 2026. In this package of total 9 days and 8 nights, pilgrims will get a chance to visit many famous religious places.


**Where will the journey start?**


This special train will leave from Solapur in Maharashtra. Passengers can board the train from several stations en route, including Kurduvadi, Daund, Pune, Lonavala, Karjat, Panvel, Kalyan, Nashik, Manmad, Chalisgaon, Bhusaval, Akola, Badnera, Wardha and Nagpur.


**Which places will be visited?**


During the journey, the pilgrims will visit the famous Sri Jagannath Puri Temple in Odisha, Konark Sun Temple and Lingaraja Temple in Bhubaneswar. Additionally, the itinerary also includes Kali Mata Temple and Gangasagar in West Bengal, as well as Baba Vaidyanath Jyotirlinga Temple in Jasidih, Jharkhand. IRCTC has made this package available in three categories for the convenience of tourists. The sleeper class fare has been fixed at ₹18,040 per person. The price for 3rd AC class is ₹32,130, while the fare for 2nd AC class is ₹43,070 per person. Concessional fare has also been fixed for children aged 5 to 11 years.


**What features are included?**


Train Apart from the travel, this package includes accommodation, vegetarian meals, bus transfers to local sightseeing, travel insurance, security on the train and all applicable taxes. Sleeper class passengers will be provided accommodation in non-AC hotels, while 3AC and 2AC category passengers will stay in AC budget hotels. AC trains will also be provided to 2AC category passengers for local travel.


**The passenger will have to bear these expenses himself**


However, expenses like monument entry fees, boating or adventure activities, local guide expenses, room service, personal expenses, laundry, food items other than those included in the package and tips are not part of this package. Passengers will have to bear their own expenses.
