Because of this, people are panicking and booking gas immediately. Cyber ​​criminals are taking advantage of this panic and luring people with ‘instant booking’. In view of this danger, the Indian Cyber ​​Crime Coordination Center (I4C) has advised people to be cautious by sharing the video on social media.

During this, they send fake links, fake apps and QR codes, through which they steal people’s money and their personal information. I4C has warned not to click on any unknown link while booking.

The message contains a link that looks exactly like the real company’s website or asks you to download an app and scan a QR code. As soon as you click on them, you are asked for OTP, PIN and bank information, after filling which the fraudsters clear the money and personal data from your account.


How to avoid this scam?



  • Do not open any unknown link received on message or WhatsApp.

  • For gas booking, use only the genuine apps or websites of the companies.

  • Never tell your OTP or UPI PIN to anyone in the name of gas booking.

  • In case of any doubt, call directly on the old number of your gas agency.

  • If fraud occurs, immediately call number 1930 and inform the bank.

How to identify whether LPG booking website is real or fake?



  • Make sure to look for the HTTPS symbol before the website name.
