Mumbai Crime Branch has arrested another accused in the firing case outside the house of producer-director Rohit Shetty last Saturday night. According to news agency ANI, the Anti-Extortion Cell has arrested the accused Asaram Fasale alias Babu. According to officials, the accused had supplied the weapon used in the firing to Rohit Shetty’s house. The team of Mumbai Crime Branch will present the accused in Esplanade Court (Fort Court) of Mumbai today.

There were arrests earlier also

Earlier, four people were arrested in this case, whose police custody is ending today. During the investigation of the incident, the police came to know that the scooter used in the firing had its origin in Pune.

According to police sources, a man from Pune had sold the scooter to already arrested accused Aditya Gaikwad for Rs 30,000 and in this deal he had also taken signatures from Gaikwad on plain paper. Gaikwad and Samarth Pomaji together left the scooter at a pre-arranged place in Juhu area of ​​Mumbai. Police allege that all these accused were working on the instructions of Shubham Lonkar.

Accusations and absconding shooter

Police sources said that the accused who bought the scooter and brought it to Mumbai were not aware of the identity of the shooter. At the same time, Shubham Lonkar had given direct instructions to the shooter to take the scooter from the designated place and open fire. According to sources, this network has already committed crimes using small groups. However, the person who allegedly fired at Rohit Shetty’s house is still absconding. Police investigation is still going on.
